Meal and a Movie

Describe it...  

We met in the hall and had DC dinner- doable and cheap! Then we came back to Gainey and watched a movie. Our floor mom came and brought us snacks!

About 16 for dinner, and 4 others showed up for the movie.

Tons! Good bonding, we did it the first weekend after the full week of classes. Also, a great turnout!

What would you have done differently? 

Maybe personal invites, but it went well.

Would You Do This Activity Again?  

Yes, especially when it's a stressfull time in the semester.

Girls' Night In

Describe it...  

This was a Girls' Night In event. So, we started out with some baking. We made chocolate chip ice-cream sandwich cookies (SO good! ;) While waiting for the cookies to bake in the oven, we played Mad Gab. Once we were done with cookies, we went upstairs to the 2nd floor TV lounge, and watched movies (we watched "Aladdin" and "Because I Said So" - both great movies!)

Set-Up:

 Not much set-up needed - because we all baked the cookies together. My roommate and I went shopping for the ingredients. And I borrowed the movies from one of my friends.

Clean-Up: 

 Not much clean-up needed. But some girls helped with dishes, and to straighten up after the movies.

Positive Outcomes: 

 It was my 1st floor event of the year, so it was just a good social event, where the girls were able to just hang out with each other in a very relaxed and fun way.
