Homemade Pizza

Describe it...  
 This event is really simple and a great way to spend good social time together with the your girls on the floor. Bascially I had a sign up sheet for what kind of pizza the girls wanted and went out a bought all the ingredients for the pizza. We made a pepperonni, cheese and basial pizza. Then to top it all of we watch Ratatouille.
Location Location Location... 
The location was in the Gainey kitchen then in one of the girl's rooms.

Publicity
 I made posters and put them on random doors and on the main doors as well.


Set-Up:
 The only set up that was needed was making the pizza dough. Each girl had an ingrediant so it made the process of making the pizza faster.
Clean-Up
 Clean up was simple for the most part, everyone helped out in cleaning dishes and the mess that was left behind.

Positive Outcomes: 
 It was a good event overall, a lot the girls had a really good time making the pizza and taking a break from homework.

 Publized more for the event.

The Cross: The Arthur Blessitt Story



Describe it...  
We watched a documentary called "The Cross: The Arthur Blessitt Story." It is the incredible story of one man who spent 40  years walking around the world, preaching the Gospel of Christ.

 This is one of the most incredible stories I have ever seen, and it was really inspirational. I think it really inspired the girls who watched it that night.

Valentine's Heart Sister + SLICE OF SPICE


Describe it...  
For Valentine's we did a Heart Sister thing - just like Secret Santa. We gave eachother gifts for one week, and at the end of the week, we went to the new restaurant in Spring Arbor called SLICE OF SPICE and ate, hang-out, and did our last gift-exchange for our Heart Sisters.

Welcome Back Party - Movie + Sundae Ice Cream


Describe it...  
It was an event at the end of January to welcome back as a floor all those who were not with us over J-term. We watched the movie LEAP YEAR and ate sundae ice creams! :)

I did all the set-up (i.e. put out the ice cream and topping) about 30min before the event start time

It was nice to just sit down, relax, and have a nice get-together with all the girls. The girls loved the movie, and of course, the ice cream (Yum! :)

Princess Party





Describe it...  

Basically, the world's coolest slumber party...for college students!  We ate giant cup cakes, watched Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," drank tea, and relaxed in the midst of a very busy J-term!

Positive Outcomes: It was wonderful for all of my girls to stop by and relax for a few minutes in the midst of a busy schedule.  This was also the third annual Princess Party for me as an RA, so a lot of my alumni came as well. It was a good night all around.

What would you have done differentlyI wish that I had asked my SLA to do a short devotional about what it means to be a princess.

Would You Do This Activity Again?  Yes, all of my residents came by, and most of them seemed to have a wonderful time!

Christmas Eve

 

Describe it...  

We watched the Grinch and ordered pizza.   Our floor mom came.

Set-Up: I went to get the pizza, 5 minutes of other set up (if any).

Positive Outcomes: The girls had a great time and got to watch a great movie.

Would You Do This Activity Again?  Yes, the girls liked getting to hang out.  They enjoyed getting to have their floor mom at the activity. They liked hanging out and talking, watching the movie and eating.




Fondue Fun


Describe it...  
We had a chocolate fondue fountain and each set of roommates brought something to dip in the chocolate.

Location Location Location... Gainey upstairs lobby.

Number that Attended: 20, plus other girls who saw us hanging out.

Set-Up: I set up with the help of two of the girls.  I needed about 30 minutes to melt all of the chocolate before I put it in the chocolate.
