Floor Secret Santa/Christmas Party

Describe it...
We had a Floor Secret Santa, where the girls signed-up if they wanted to participate. I then put each name of a slip of paper and allowed each girl to pick out a name. They then were the secret santa for that girl for a week. At the end of the week (it was on Sunday), we went to our floor parent's home and baked/decorated Christmas sugar cookies, ate pizza and lots of other yummy snacks, revealed to eachother our secret santas and did our final gift exchange, then watched a movie.

Crafty Floor Event

Describe it...
Since the theme for our floor is "Fruits of the Spirit," we built a tree out of construction paper and we each made what "fruit" represents us most and put it up on the tree (ex: watermelon - kindness). This tree was put up on the wall at the end of our hallway. I also put out some magazines so the girls could construct a "Who I am" collage. The third crafty project was to write a letter to themselves that I will give them at the end of the year. They were able to do one or all of these projects.  I also bought some snackes for this event.

Blacklight Dance Party! Oh yeahhh!! :)

Describe it...
One of my girls said that she would love to have a dance party for her birthday. And so we did!! We had a floor/core event, where our floor (3 South), and the 2 freshman core on my floor (Core 16 and Core 24) were invited to come to a Blacklight Dance Party! Since it was an organized dance party, and it was coed, I had to apply for it through SDL and obtain an approved playlist. So, I reserved the RCF for the evening and we had our floor/core blacklight dance party!! We also had some snacks. So much funnn!!

Room Show n' Tell & Apples to Apples

Describe it...
It was a chance for the girls to show off their room and share with the floor what makes up *them*. Also, there were certain categories that they could win prizes for (like best decorated, most hospitable, etc). So, we just rotated around to each girls room (i.e. to those who signed up to do Room Show n' Tell), and we just learned more about eachother. Then, we played Apples to Apples as a floor in our hallway.
